Dr. Y.K. Park found OE Solutions in 2003. Prior to this, Dr. Park has held numerous technical leadership positions in areas of optical networking including Senior Director and Head of Engineering at NanoOpto Corporation, Director of Optical Transponder Development at Agere Systems, and Technical Manager for FTTH PON development at Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories. With eighteen years as R&D veteran from Bell Labs, he set numerous technical milestones including |
the first 1.7Gb/s 360km coherent communication field trial in 1989, breaking the 300km repeaterless transmission barrier in 1992, and the world¡¯s first 10Gb/s field trial in 1994. He received his B.S. in Physics from Sogang University and Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University. Dr. Park has 12 patents granted (or pending), 100 papers published in the area of optical communications and was named IEEE fellow in 2004 and OSA Fellow in 1997. |

Dr. Ahn Goo Choo co-founder of OE Solutions in 2003, is responsible for overseeing all development and production. Dr. Choo provides OES with a solid foundation of engineering, manufacturing, operations and quality expertise in the field of optoelectronics. Prior to starting OES in 2003, Dr. Choo was a director at Samsung Electronics with responsibility for the production of optical transceivers, 2.5Gb/s DFB/EML lasers, 10Gb/s EML lasers and various PIN receivers. He also led engineering teams in the development of LEDs, DFBs, EMLs, SOAs, APDs, PINs, and ICs (Laser Drivers, TIAs, |
Limiting Amplifiers) for both active and passive optical networks. He received his BS in Physics from Chonnam National University, MS in Physics from Seoul National University and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Choo has over 70 publications / presentations / invited talks in the area of optoelectronics. |

Dr. Moon Soo Park brings OE Solutions, a wealth of experience and technical expertise in the area of optical module development. Prior to joining OE Solutions in 2004, Dr. Park has held various Director and technical manager positions at Optical Communication Products, Inc., Agere Systems, Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories, Samsung Electronics, and Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) in Korea. He has participated in developing lightwave systems ranging from |
45Mb/s to 10Gb/s and has lead technical teams in product development of EDFAs, polymer waveguides, silica AWGs, burst mode ATM PON transceivers, 2.5Gb/s and 10Gb/s transponders and XFP. He received his BSEE from Kyngpook National University, MSEE from Seoul National University and Ph.D. from The University of Sydney in Australia. Dr. Park has over 70 publications relating to optoelectronics and IC design.
